About the event
BridgeClimb is proud to host Climb for a Cause, an annual charity climb day, taking place this year on Sunday, 7 May 2023, in support of Black Dog Institute. Climb Teams are invited to register to take part in this unique experience on the arches of the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge, to contribute to raising important funds towards a mentally healthier Australia.
Since 1998, we’ve strived to make climbing for good causes a focus. As a passionate bunch, we’re dedicated to serving local neighbouring communities the best way we can and make strides to support and promote partners who share our people-first and fair-go values. After a challenging few years navigating the pandemic, mental health is now at the forefront for many Australians, and that's why we want to do our bit to make a difference.
Our inaugural event in 2022 saw over 550 participants raise over $70,000 for the Black Dog Institute. We hope you can join us in support of reaching our goals to enable Black Dog Institute to continue working to improve the lives of people impacted by mental illness through their ground-breaking research, national education programs and support services.

About BLACK DOG INSTITUTE
1 in 5 of us will experience symptoms of mental illness in any given year. In Australia, that’s around 5 million people. And roughly 60% of these people won’t seek help.
As the only medical research institute in Australia to investigate mental health across the lifespan, Black Dog Institute’s aim is to create a mentally healthier world for everyone.
They do this through ‘translational’ research. Integrating research studies, education programs, digital tools and apps, clinical services, and public resources to discover new solutions, foster connections and create real-world change.

Our Bridge to Better program
At BridgeClimb, we’re proud to call an internationally-adored icon that connects all people to the heart of Sydney our home.
Opening our arms to over five million climbers, we care deeply for people and community on both a local and global level. That's why we aim to help those in need and contribute to sustaining our beautiful city and country whenever we can.
